She was predeceased by: her husband Melfred Welker; her grandson Blue Hattaway; her parents, John Myrtle and Annie Leah Dorsey Blackmon; and her brother Bufford L. Blackmon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Foster (Ellis) and Lessie Gray (Bob); and her grandchildren, Jennifer Daley (Adam), Karen Bryant (Danny), Cindy Rayfield (Wallace) and Robby Gray (Sharon). She is also survived by six great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
