It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Leon Clanton of Lucedale, Mississippi, who passed away on February 27, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Katherine Hilda Gilbert Clanton; his parents, Richard Clyde Clanton and Odell Davis; and his siblings, Richard Clyde Clanton Jr., Jeffery Clanton and Barbara Ann Clanton.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Clanton (Magda), Scott Clanton (Maria) and David Clanton; his sister Peggy Sue Clanton; his sister-in-law Clarice Chaney; his grandchildren, Brittney Newell (Dalton), Bryce Clanton (Lindsey), Kailin Clanton, Jody Clanton and Amelia Clanton; and his great grandchildren, Elliot Newell, Kipton Newell, Hollis Scott Newell, Maverick Mills and Savvy James Clanton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
