We are sad to announce that on August 17, 2023, at the age of 95, Etta Mae Verbeke of Lucedale, Mississippi, born in Jackson, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dantzler James Miles and Mary Nettie Miles; her husband Carl Grierson Verbeke, Sr.; and her sister Sybil Bryant. She is survived by: her children, Carl G. Verbeke, Jr., Phyllis Pickich (Gerald) and Terri Bounds (Terry); her grandchildren, Chris C. Verbeke, Missy Jayroe (Will), Chasity Pickich, Brad Pickich (Ashley), Justin Bounds and Hanna Grafton (Justin); and her friend J. C. Hansen. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
