It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elvis Franklin Havard of Lucedale, Mississippi, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his children, Elvis Wayne Havard and Karri Faye Welch; the mother of his children Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Johnson; his parents, Roland Franklin Havard and Ray Bell Brown Havard; and his siblings, Charles Edward Havard, Ernest Ray Havard, Clarcy May Cook, Shirley Ruth Goff, Pearly Jean Cook, Abner Lamar Havard, Jimmy Levell Havard and Lavern Havard.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Havard; his children, Janice Mason, Thomas "Tommy" Havard (Karen), Larry Havard (Audrey) and Derick Prince; his daughter-in-law Ramona Havard; his stepson John Murry Hamilton (Dorthy Gail); and his grandchildren, Brandi, Denice, Ann, Justin, Derrick, Ernie, Megan, Ashley, Amanda, Hunter, Devon and Alex. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
