It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Jenelle Coats of Lucedale, Mississippi, who passed away on April 1, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Billy Jason Harrell; her parents, Milton Fletcher Peavy and Dorothy Utley; and her siblings, Carolyn Davis, Betty Honeycut, Hazel Smith, Wanda Stamps, Inet Sanders and Billy Ray.
She is survived by: her husband John Coats; her children, LaRae Boykin, Jenelle Lyn Jeter, Nickie Stringer and Johnathan Dale Harrell; her stepson Martelli Dunran "Boo" Coats; her grandchildren, Nicholas Holliman, Deanna Marie Holliman, Jared Michael Jeter, Reno Reynolds, Kadeshia Riley, Reagan Harrell, Dagon Harrell, Brandon Gautier, Amber Cheatwood, Joshua, Tracey Johnson, Brent Rowe and Carmen Reynolds; and her siblings, Pat O'Brien, Shelia Thornburg and Man Peavy. She is also survived by 16 Great Grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.
