He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Cleo Strum Sims, Seth Lavern Sims and Albert Harlan Young; his uncle Robert Sims; and his aunt Betty Winstead.
He is survived by: his children, Julianna Kate, Jonah Ray, Jillian Faith and Judah Robert Sims; his wife Laura Hope Faulk Sims; his parent Carol Sue Young Sims of Louisville, MS.; his brothers, Alan Sims (Grace Ann) of Louisville, MS and Randall Sims (Jennifer) of Columbus; his grandmother Margaret Ann Carter Young of Louisville; his uncle John Albert Young (Kathy); and his aunts, Gloria Miller (Gary) and Brenda Sims. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Porter Funeral Home (302 W Park St, Louisville, MS 39339). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
