He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Allen and Sudie Dell Allen; his wife Anna Jean Watson Allen; and his brother Olyn Dean Allen. He is survived by: his sons, Walter Allen, Jr. (Lynn) of Louisville and David Allen (Debbie) of Florence, MS; his grandchildren, Jennifer Allen, Jonathan Allen (Wynne), Joshua Allen (Kristen) and Joseph Allen; and his great grandchildren, Cormac, Vera, Arthur and Amelia.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Louisville, or the Gideons.
