He was predeceased by: his parents, James Andrew and Ollie Parks Shepperd; his wife Doris Shepperd; his son Chris Shepperd; his granddaughter Laiken Grace Sanders; his daughter-in-law Scarlet Shepperd; and his siblings, Harold Shepperd, O'Neil Shepperd, Olynn Shepperd, Jewel Shepperd, Troy Shepperd, Willie Shepperd, Lillie Roark and Thad Shepperd.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Kinard of Noxapater, Keith Shepperd of Noxapater, Scott Shepperd of Noxapater, Tim Shepperd of Louisville and Tammy Sanders (Ken) of Louisville; his grandchildren, Donya Kinard, Samantha Dearing (Jason), Heather Cumberland (Michael), Rebecca Daniel (Quinn), Taylor Johns (Josh), Jonathan Crocker, Christin Sanders (Jason), Chase Sanders (Christy), Lance Sanders, Zane Sanders and EmmaGrace Sanders; his great grandchildren, Reagan Williams (Nick), Jordan Bradford (Coby), Holton Manross, Dalton Keith Shepperd, Matthew Scott Shepperd, Anna Grace Shepperd, Kase Daniel, Peyton Daniel, Scarlett Jane Daniel, Everly Harper Johns and Brooklyn Gordy; and his sisters-in-law, Lee Holton, Sue Shepperd, Joyce Shepperd and Della Shepperd. He is also survived by three great-great-grandchildren.
