He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Earl and Enid Claire Schooler Kirk; his siblings, Alvin Ralph Kirk and Lola Kirk; and his sisters-in-law, Sally and Betty Kirk.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Kirk; his children, Peggy Pearson of Louisville and Phillip Kirk (Lena) of Cedar Hills, Texas.; his siblings, Kathryn Kirk, Lavada Robertson (Bobby), Earl Kirk and Sam Kirk (Barbara); his grandchildren, Dana Pearson (Richard Cagle) and Paul Pearson (Kayla Colbert); his great grandchildren, Noah, Nikki Reed, Caleb Pearson, Mia and Zoe Cagle; and his nieces and nephews, Julie Kirk, Sharon Murphy, Edward Kirk, Barry and Byron Robertson.
