He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Henry and Lona Mayo Nance of Winston County; his siblings, Richard Bryce "R. B." Nance, Bettye Ruth Schoolar, Clarence Estes Nance, Carrie Maxine Reynolds and Edith Ann Triplett; and his mother-in-law Agnes Butler Ruff.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Anne Nance; his daughter Alicia Deas (Terry); his siblings, Joe Denton Nance and Dianne Nance Mayo; his grandchildren, Dr. Aimee Brown and Brian Chandler (Falan); and his great grandchildren, Baleigh Grace Brown and Rekker Reese Richardson. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
