She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Black and Ellen Wells Black; her husband Ransom "Junior" Young; her son-in-law Larry Hemphill; and her siblings, Trudy Conn and Roy Black.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rachel Sullivan (Chris) of Louisville and Lynn Hemphill of Louisville; her grandchildren, Cricket Hemphill (Anthony Justice), Larae Cotton, Eric Hemphill (Tammy), Charlie Hemphill (Nora) and Hanna Hailey; her great grandchildren, Jazlyn Kirk, Harley Kirk, Layla Kirk, Aaliyah Hemphill, Alyssa Cotton, Everleeanna Fulce and J. J. Mary Jane; her caregivers, Misty LaDawn Burnham and Robyn White; and her close friends, Pam Hall, Lee King and Peanut.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Massey Funeral Home (724 N Columbus Ave, Louisville, MS 39339). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Massey Funeral Home Chapel (724 N Columbus Ave, Louisville, MS 39339). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at the Rural Hill Cemetery (4985 Hinze-Rural Hill Rd, McCool, MS 39108).
