He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Black, Sr. and Ellen Mary Wells Black; and his sisters, Ellen Conn and Faye Black. He is survived by: his sister Mary Jane Young; his close friend Gladys Kirk of Louisville; his nieces, Rachel Sullivan (Chris), Sandra Lee (Richard), Paula Hemphill (Larry) and Janette Conn; and his nephew David Conn. He is also survived by great-nieces and great-great nieces.
