It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Ray Hemphill (Louisville, Mississippi), who passed away on October 5, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry and Juanita Reed Hemphill; his sisters, Rita Hall and Shirley Pruitt; and his son James Donald.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Ruth Jones; his sister Marlene Lentz (Rick); his sons, Jerry Hemphill (Lucresia) of Louisville, Jason Hemphill (Beth) of Louisville and Jimmy Hemphill (Courtney) of Tishomingo; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Hemphill (Stewart), Nathan Hemphill, Jacob Hemphill (Anna), John Hemphill, Megan Hemphill, Gracie Storment, Bryson Crawley, Brendan Smith, Jayred Smith and Brody Smith; and his great grandchildren, Jace and Jules Hemphill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
