He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tranum and Carolyn Woodruff Tranum; and his brothers-in-law, Leland Mitchell, Jim Bianchi and David Bianchi.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Bianchi Tranum; his children, John Robert Tranum, Jr. of Louisville, Justin David Tranum of Louisville, Mary Clare Tranum Ross (James) of Slidell, Louisiana and Janet Carolyn Tranum (Jeremiah) of Oxford, Mississippi.; his siblings, Mary Carolyn Mitchell and Paul Tranum (Judy); and his siblings-in-law, Diane Bianchi Gray, John Bianchi, Joel Bianchi (Tracy) and Bill Bianchi. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
