He was predeceased by: his father William A. Rives; and his grandparents, John Henry, Orene Parkes Cockrell, James "Jim" and Etta Anderson Rives.
He is survived by: his mother Lucia Cockrell Rives; his sister Robin Elizabeth Rice (Tim) of Starkville, Mississippi.; his niece Rebecca Andol (Demetrius); his nephew Timothy Rice, II; his aunts and uncles, Larry, Betty Cockrell, Rodney and Nell McClure; and also Draco Andol.
