He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Albert Caperton and Lillie Mae Moody Caperton; his grandfathers, Hernando Desoto Caperton and Joe Moody; his former wife Abbie Jean Capps; his wife Mary Dean Majure; his daughters, Mary Ann Caperton and Lynn Caperton Graham; his brothers, Tommy Caperton and Billy Sullivan; his children, Mary Ann Chatham (Bill) of Pearl, MS and Randy Caperton of Jackson, MS; his stepdaughter Tanya Majure Jordan (Mike); his sister Cora Lynn Campbell of Vicksburg, MS; and his cousins, Carolyn Caperton Mills and Bobbie Jean Triplett of Louisville. He was also cherished by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
