She was predeceased by: her parents, Lottie Craig Estes and Littleton Worthy Estes (Wert); her husband Donald M. Woodruff, Sr.; her siblings, Dee Estes, Bob Estes, Wayne Estes (Sylvia), Maxine McCool (Dee) and Elsie Carter (J. C.); and her nephew Craig Estes.
She is survived by: her friend Mary Catherine McGee (James); her son Donald M. Woodruff, Jr. (DeLaine); her brother Jerry Estes (Ilene) of Louisville; her grandchildren, Trey Woodruff (Allison) and Joy Busenlehner (Stephen); her great grandchildren, Mallory Busenlehner Meyer (Mac), Maddie Busenlehner, Andrew Busenlehner, Colin Woodruff and John Woodruff; and her sisters-in-law, Patty Estes, Faith Estes, Jane Estes and Jean Claire Woodruff. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Cards began flooding the mail each day with donations in honor of Jean from family, friends, former students, and from people she did not even know. Within a matter of weeks, the 95-year-old Jean Woodruff had raised and donated over $2300 to St. Jude.
