“Jernigan family: I am saddened by the loss of your loved one and my friend. After his retirement, five of us who attended Rust College together chit chatted by text messages and telephone regularly. Our group will surely miss Eugene. We were the Class of 1964, Louisville Colored High School, Louisville, MS and Class of 1968 of Rust University, Holly Springs, MS. He was a proud Omega Psi Phi frat brother, social worker and business owner. He will forever be in our heart.”
