He is survived by: his wife Nita Halfacre Hartness of Louisville; his daughters, Tami Whitehead (Kevin) of Louisville and LeAnne Hartness of Louisville; and his grandchildren, Mary Beth Sullivan (Jasmine Gordon) and Allye Whitehead.
