He was predeceased by: his parents, Nettie Ruth Ainsworth and Roy Webster Johnson; and his grandparents, Vernon D. and Mary Alice Wood. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Johnson; his children, Webster Dale Johnson Jr., Roy "Kenny" Johnson, Addison Toop, Sadie Johnson (Ira) and Katie Alexander (Aaron); his grandchildren, Joseph, Javion, Ira Johnson, Sarah Rose Manuel, Deveon Cunningham, Jr., Prynce Alexander Kuriana Johnson, Kaitlyn, Roy "Bubba", Brandon, Elizabeth, Mason Johnson and Talon Toop; his great grandchildren, Paisley, Abigail and Kaystin Johnson; his sister Dianne White (Rodney); and his friends, Ray, Donna Holifield and Andrew Young. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
