He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Nester and Mattie Read Nester; his brothers, Joe Nester (Betty Rasberry) and Gerald (Glenda Rogers); and his significant other Brenda Mott Nester.
He is survived by: his spouse Johncie Parker Nester; his children, Bryce Nester (Teresa Stallings), Jodi Chancelor (Todd), Todd Nester (Brandi Carter) and Sandy Stephens; his grandchildren, Emily Nester, Abby Sollie (Justin), Tyler Chancelor (Bethany), Jessi Delvalle (Renee), Tyler Hale, Baylee Nester, Annie Nester, Mason Winans, Bowen Winans and Jackson Winans; his great grandchildren, Owen Lamar Chancelor, Evelyn Chancelor and Marley Joyce Sollie; and his nieces and nephews, Lauren Nester Zumwalt, Bill Nester, Stacy Rogers and Debra Rogers Walters.
