It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Yvonne Lorraine Ellis of Long Beach, Mississippi, who passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry "Buster" Sousthene and Piernas Sr. (Althea Marie Lemelle Piernas); her siblings, Janice M. King, Alvin Alexander, Henry "Hank" S. Piernas, Jr., Anthony Piernas, Sr., Eugene Piernas and Jules Piernas, III; and her grandson Lonnie L. Ellis, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Albert W. Ellis, Sr.; her children, Albert W. Ellis, Jr. (Pamela), Lonnie Ellis, Sr. (Maria) and Simone Bellow; her grandchildren, Detria Walker (Calvin), Caprece McConico (Ronald), RoxAnn King, Eleva Howard and Vasanti Kumar; her siblings, Vivian Dorsett, Linda Burton, Robert "Mike" Piernas (Trish) and John Piernas (Marilyn); her brother-in-law J. C. "Sony" King; her grandchildren, Niesha Dorn, Michaella "Mikie", Candace Ellis, Timothy White (Judith), Angelica, Bianca Saucedo and Daniella Wimberly; her great grandchildren, Dajana, Khailib, Ely'Jah of Rohan, Veronica, Brian, Terrance, DeJanai, Damon Jr., Donovan, Deaven, Maija, Jasmine, Layla and Garren; and her extended family, Jean Romain, Marion Hamilton (Robert), Madeline Dedeaux, Rick Dedeaux (Melissa), Ann Labat and Joseph Piernas, Sr. (Wanda). She is also survived by nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
