He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Franklin Hammons and Bertha Mae Allen; his wife Tommye Joyce Ellzey; and his siblings, Ruby Nell Hammons, Bobby Hammons, Richard Lassabe, Jimmy Lassabe and Bennye Lassabe.
He is survived by: his brother Jackie Hammons (Kathy) of Long Beach, MS; his sister-in-law Clara Ellzey of Bentonia, MS; his nieces and nephews, Kim Hammons of Wiggins, MS, Denise Gipson (Johnny) of Wiggins, MS and Pam Nault (Paul) of Pass Christian, MS.; his grandchildren, Kerri Fairley, DeShea Cooper, Cassie Cooper, Amanda Robertson (Calvin), Courtney White (Drew), Logan Nault, Jerrid Nault and Jaden Nault; and his great grandchildren, Maggie, Ethan, Kailyn, Julian, Tristan, Raymond, Lennon, Lula, Carson and Dawson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Riemann Family Funeral Home (19130 Commission Rd, Long Beach, MS 39560). A burial was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Allen Cemetery (20240 28th St, Long Beach, MS 39560). A procession was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the same location.
