He is survived by: his wife Cathy Thomas; his children, Elwyn Smith of Gulfport, MS, NaKeisha Jupiter (Jovan) of Huntsville, AL, Steven Thomas of Gulfport, MS, Eric Smith (Georgina) of Shreveport, LA, Stephanie Thomas of McComb, MS and Phillip Moore of Nashville, TN; his siblings, Roy G. Moody of Atlanta, GA, Evelyn C. Moore of Gulfport, MS and Barbara Jefferson of Gulfport, MS; and his close friends, Larry and Jan Danis. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lockett-Williams Mortuary, Inc. (2018 31st Ave, Gulfport, MS 39501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens (19361 28th St, Long Beach, MS 39560).
