He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Burman and Addie Burman; his wife Charlene Burman; and his brothers, Irv Burman and Ken Burman.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Burman (Nan) and Debra Palmer (Allen); his grandchildren, Emily Barnes (Alex), Matthew Palmer, Jacob Palmer (Rachel) and Rachel Welch (Chad); his great grandchildren, Simon, George, Linus Barnes, Benjamin, Abigail Palmer, Emma Kay and Hannah Welch; and his brothers, Ed Burman (Lynda) and Harv Burman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Merle's memory may be made to Tunnels to Tower or to the First Methodist Church.
