It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elbert Ozell Phillips of Long Beach, Mississippi, who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ozell Phillips and Eva Brooks Phillips; his son Bruce Phillips; his granddaughter Ariana Phillips; and his brother Stanford Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Ola Dell Benefield Phillips of Long Beach; his son Brian Phillips of Orange Grove; his stepsons, Anthony Murray of Gulfport and Geoffrey Neal Murray of Columbus; and his brother James Michael Phillips (Wanda) of Gulfport. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Long Beach Church of Christ (200 N Cleveland Ave, Long Beach, MS 39560). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
