It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony Lavern Oatis Jr. of Long Beach, Mississippi, who passed away on June 27, 2022, at the age of 30, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Diann Johnson and W. C. Oatis; his great-grandparent Bertha Keys; his cousins, Jy'Spin Johnson and Mecheaus Oatis Anthony; his parents, Tomica Samuel and Anthony Oatis Sr. (Twana); and his grandparents, Peggy Oatis and Freddie Johnson (Christana Walker).
He is survived by: his children, Malik Oatis and Makayla Oatis; his siblings, Malika Samuel, LaTonya Dunning (George), Ashley Oatis (Frank), Candance Sands, Angel Oatis, Astin Oatis and Brenon Hall; his aunts and uncles, Mark Oatis Sr. (Chennette), Shannon Oatis, Jermille Johnson (Denise), Bernard Fairley, Willie Patton, Tanishka Moore (Joe), Roshaunda Oatis, Amber Fant and Shannon Patton; his niece India Taylor; and his nephews, Jontae McNeal, Treyvon McNeal, Elijah Peters, Nehemiah Dunning and Mark Oatis Jr..
