It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Brooken of Long Beach, Mississippi, born in Lake Park, Georgia, who passed away on September 28, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Walter L, Marie Brooken, June and Lessie Miller; his father Wilbert L. Brooken; and his brother Herschel L. Brooken.
He is survived by: his wife Carlin Slaughter-Brooken; his mother Dorothy M. Brooken; his children, Danitha LaChelle Blanchard (Keith) and Brandon T. Slaughter; his siblings, Wilbert L. Brooken and Sandra B. Griffin; his grandchildren, Jazzmon M. Brooken and Makenzie Slaughter; his cousin Earlie Simmons (Rawland); his sister-in-law Bertha Hinton; and his daughter Chelle.
