He was predeceased by: his wife Jean James Dean; his daughter Lorna Lynn Dean; and his siblings, Doris Jones and Harold Dean. He is survived by: his children, Jeannie Anne Steele (Jerry), Shonda Dean and Kerri Gallaspy; his grandchildren, Lorna Blackburn, Paige Graham (Brad), Grant Gallaspy (Lexie), Gaige Gallaspy (Rachel) and Gavin Gallaspy; his great grandchildren, Ava, Anniston and Maxxis Graham; his grandchildren, Waylon and Amara Gallaspy; and his sister Alice Brashier. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and The Wounded Warrior Project.
