He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Anderson Temple and Adelia Nettles Temple; his wife Mary Elaine Temple; and his siblings, James Temple, Henry Temple, Edward Temple, Ernest Temple, Annie Mae Lebouef and Florine Temple.

He is survived by: his children, Arie Maniscalco, Shirley Temple, Charles Temple (Mary) and Jeff Temple (Gary); and his friend David Jackson. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.
