He is survived by: his wife Vera Lee Billedeau Yancey; his sons, Matthew Yancey (Lea Ann) and Mark Yancey; his grandchildren, Michael Yancey, Dr. Kristy Yancey Spencer, Stuart Yancey and Spencer Yancey; and his stepdaughter Darlene Guillory. He is also survived by three great grandchildren; fifteen great, great, grandchildren; and six great- great-great grandchildren.
