With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathy Penny Willson of Liberty, Mississippi, born in Pride, Louisiana, who passed away on December 17, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Kathy Penny shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Kathy Penny farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Penny and Carrie Penny; and her children, Dana Lou Willson and Todd Ray Willson. She is survived by: her husband Malcolm "Coon" Willson; her daughter Sherry Dixon (Justin); her granddaughter Leanne Turnage (Eli); her great grandchild Amelia Rose Turnage; her sister Cynthia "Dicey" Smith; her nieces, Penni Hopson and Carrie Bays; and her aunt Carolyn Reeves.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church (4923 Mt Vernon Rd, Liberty, MS 39645). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
