JoAnn Kirkland Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnn Kirkland of Liberty, Mississippi, who passed away on November 7, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bonnie Roberts and Nona Mae Taylor Roberts; and her husband Charles "Monk" Kirkland. She is survived by: her children, Smiley Kirkland (Terrie), Patricia McNeil (Mason), Bobbie Kraemer (Scott), Donna Smith (Clifton), Sammy Kirkland (Debbie) and R. D. Kirkland (Jennifer); and her siblings-in-law, Jerry Kirkland and Betty Callender. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great- great grandchild.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brown Funeral Home (153 S Broad St, Liberty, MS 39645). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Liberty Methodist Church or St. Judes.
