It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howell Tate McGehee of Liberty, Mississippi, who passed away on March 21, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Estelle McKey McGehee; his son Gerald McGehee; his sons-in-law, Hilton Pittman and Dr. Thomas Griffin; and his grandson Brian Brecheen.
He is survived by: his children, Clinton, Anna Lea Tate McGehee, CliAnn Pittman Griffin, Bernell McGehee (Susan), Mary Brecheen (Nathan) and Winnie Brecheen (Orland); his daughter-in-law Delphine McGehee; his grandchildren, Scott McGehee, Page Goff (Mickey), Idalia Sterling (Brad), Brina Leroux (Gilles), Candice Burkes (Cole), Mandy Scarpulla (Stephen), Clay Brecheen, Jr., Amy Pittman (Patrick Reeves), Geoffrey Pittman (Alexandra) and Meloanie Nettles (Cory); his great grandchildren, Alexi, André Leroux, Camden Pittman, Grace, Carter, Tate Goff, Sage Scarpulla, Gabe Bordelon, Ethan Brecheen, Jesse, Mary Lynn, Anna, Katelyn, Amber Burkes, Chloe Sterling, Nicholas Brecheen, Caleb and Holt Nettles; his brother Paul McGehee; his grandson Cary McGehee; and his grandsons-in-law, Cole Burkes, Mickey Goff, Brad Sterling, Cory Nettles, Patrick Reeves and Stephen Scarpulla. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Liberty Baptist Church Youth Fund.
