He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie James Higgins Sr. and Nora Mae Smith Higgins; and his siblings, Phillip Higgins, James Higgins Jr., Glen Higgins, Ben Higgins and Norma Jean Lester.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Bonnette Higgins; his daughter Kimberly Moore (Buck); his stepchildren, B. C. Hall, Ron Hall (Emily), Dana Bonnette, Jackie Butler and Janet Bonnette; his brothers, Murray Higgins and Jerry Higgins; and his grandchildren, Zech Hall, Buck Moore Jr., Emily Kendall, Susie Ferrell and Austin Moore. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
