She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Newman and Mable Burris Newman; her husband Kenneth Gordon; her siblings, Dr. Paul Newman and Joyce Newman Tynes; her brother-in-law John Davis Tynes; her nephew Johnny Tynes; and her great-nieces, Joy Lewis and Andrea Tynes.
She is survived by: her daughter Marcia Lynn Gordon Mabry (Jesse); and her sister-in-law Sally Newman.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Liberty Baptist Church (135 Main St, Liberty, MS 39645). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Liberty Baptist Church or the Baptist Children's Village in Jackson, Ms.
