He is survived by: his wife JuliAnna Munday Wynne; his children, Ashley Wynne Scobey (Graham), John David Wynne, Jr. (Melissa), Anna Elizabeth Wynne and Laura Leigh Ladner; his grandchildren, Evelyn Grey Scobey, David Webb Scobey, Kinsley Rae Ladner and John Harper Wynne; and his siblings, Terry Wynne (Renee), Angie Wynne Blain (Cham) and Allison Wynne McQuirter (Dan). He is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews and four great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research.
