He is survived by: his sons, Mike (Diane Self) of Monticello and Ark; his grandchildren, Erin Self Moon (Jacob) and Lane Self (Jordan); his children, James Self of Lexington, MS, Brittany Davidson (Ashley), Wade Self and Patty Self of Philadephia, MS; and his grandson Patrick Self (Savannah). He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
