He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schmidt and Dorothy Schmidt; and his sons, David and Jimmy Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Fagan Shmidt; his sons, Brian Schmidt (Ginger) of Rolling Fork, MS and Eric Schmidt of Ozello, FL.; and his grandchildren, Melissa Schmidt, Taylor Schmidt, Aubrea Schmidt, Autumn Schmidt and Devin Schmidt.
