He was predeceased by: his parents, O. W. "Dutch" Rushing and Amelia Rushing; and his brother Tom Rushing. He is survived by: his wife Billie Marie Homod Rushing; his siblings, Jo Miller (late Charlie), Ted Harris and Sam Rushing (Di); his daughters, Layla Armistead (Hugh) and Nichole Smyly (Doug); and his grandchildren, Carson Smyly (Anna), Cameron Smyly, Lexi Smyly, Ben Armstrong, Jack Armstrong and Trenton Armstrong. He is also survived by three great-grandsons.
A graveside service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Belzoni City Cemetery.
