It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Brackeen (Leland, Mississippi), who passed away on December 9, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Golden Gower; and her brother L. Gower Jr. (Doris). She is survived by: her husband A. "Lee" Brackeen Sr.; her children, A. "Lee" Brackeen Jr. (Lacie) and Deedra B. Fontana (Julian); her sisters, Mildred G. Zeigler (late Junior) and Frances G. Read (late John); her grandchildren, Arlayna B. Moss (Cameron), Michaela L. Fontana (Timothy Stone), Analee B. Ryals (Peyton), A. "Tripp" Brackeen III, Mattie Grace Arrington and Myles Cooper Arrington; and her great grandchild Caleb Eston Moss. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for memorials to be made to The Baptist Children's Village.
