He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Gavin, Sr. and Elnora Breland; his grandparents, Rufus, Annie Courtney, Viola Williams Courtney, Charlie and Ottice Breland; and his brother Sammy Breland, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Linda Childers Breland; his children, Austin Breland (Sissy) and Carmen Breland (David Quinn); his grandchildren, Magan Cockes (Ken), Jacob Breland (Taylor), Thomas Breland (Tayza) and Jessie Breland (Bracie); and his great grandchildren, Cooper Cockes, Tanner Cockes, McKenly Breland, Austin-Wayne Breland, Forrest Breland and Fisher Breland.
