He is survived by: his wife Betty Ray Freeman Garretson; his parents, Harry Forno Garretson and Mildred Rounsaville Garretson; his brother Oscar Rounsaville "Rounsa" Garretson, Sr. (Those); his children, Betty Marsha Dent (Gene) of Jackson and Gordon M. Garretson, Jr. (Joy) of Clayton; his grandchildren, Duncan Dent, Audrey Dent Douglas (Tyler), Camille Dent Bernier (Tom), Lily Garretson and Ivy Garretson; and his siblings, Harry F. Garretson (Jean) of Leakesville, Roland Garretson (Bobbye) of Brandon, Max Garretson (Brenda) of Gastonia, Roy Garretson (Gloria) of Sumrall and Mary Myers (Ray) of Pensacola, Florida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
