He was predeceased by : his wife Jammie Allums; his parents, James Allums and Lena Allums; his son Ronald L. Allums; and his siblings, Jamie T. Allums, Olive Burton, Guyton Allums, Alva Allums, Bettye J. Platt and Nanette Breland.

He is survived by : his sons, Jimmy (Lauren) and Timmy Allums (Carla). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Donnie took me under his wings to help guide me through the death of my father. I rode with him to many services listening to him preach the word of Jesus Christ. As an old man I now look back on the absolute positive impact that Bro. Donnie had on my life. He was truly a man of God.”
