He was predeceased by: his wife Jammie Allums; his parents, James Allums and Lena Allums; his son Ronald L. Allums; and his siblings, Jamie T. Allums, Olive Burton, Guyton Allums, Alva Allums, Bettye J. Platt and Nanette Breland.

He is survived by: his sons, Jimmy (Lauren) and Timmy Allums (Carla). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

“I just recently discovered that to my great sadness Bro. Donnie has gone to his heavenly home. I’m sure him and Mrs. Jamie are dancing in the clouds. As a young teenager Bro. Donnie took me under his wings to help guide me through the death of my father. I rode with him to many services listening to him preach the word of Jesus Christ. As an old man I now look back on the absolute positive impact that Bro. Donnie had on my life. He was truly a man of God.”
