He was predeceased by: his son Charles Andrew "Andy" Burns, Jr.; his grandson Benjamin Andrew Lewis; his parents, William Burns and Ethel Burns; and his siblings, Pearl Rochelle and William Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Burns; his daughters, Karen Gray (Tony), Kathy Dyson (Willie) and Krystal Lewis; his grandchildren, Zachery Dyson (Jennifer), Corey Dyson (Mary Elizabeth), Casey Dyson (Krista), Hannah Rosemeyer (Sean), Katie Stafford (Chris), Brooklyn Harrell (Preston) and Blake Lewis (Breann); and his sister-in-law Nikki Matros. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Charles Burns.
