He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyatt J. Davis Sr. and Claudie Clark Davis; and his wife Dorothy Barnes Ely (Dot). He is survived by: his brother Jim C. Davis (Janice) of Columbus Mississippi; his nephew Marvin Smith of Richmond; his great-nieces and great-nephews, David, Emily and Thomas; his nephew Tim Smith of Brandon; his great-niece Rachel; his niece Courtenay McAllister of Memphis; his great-niece Sarah Davis; his great-nephews, Wyatt Thomas and John Will; and his niece Becky Angel Barrett (Jerry).

In lieu of flowers, contributions to First Baptist Church of Laurel or MSU Development Foundation would be preferred.
