With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Travis William Batte of Laurel, Mississippi, born in Richton, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 27, 2024 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, O. J. Batte and Annie Batte; and his son Scott Batte. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Batte; his children, Wayne Batte (Robin), Carol Joplin (David) and Betty Lynn Walley; and his grandchildren, Kenny Batte (Megan), Justin Batte (Lauren), Kyle Joplin, Kelly Aycock (Shelton), Jaclyn Dunkerton (Thomas) and Jennifer Taylor (Cole). He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
