He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrill Franklin Ray and Dorothy Joyce Nottle Ray. He is survived by: his wife Becky Ray; his sons, Philip T. Ray (Melissa) and Michael Ray (Summer); his grandchildren, Elisha Ray, Karly Webb (Hayden) and Connor Ray; his great grandchild Hudson Webb; and his sisters, Gloria Blakeney and Carol Wooley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
