Mary Elizabeth Ellis Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth Ellis of Laurel, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2025 at the age of 107. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Chamberlain and Iona Chamberlain; her husband John William Ellis; her siblings, Robin, Dalton Chamberlain and Maysel Greer; her grandsons, Robert Neel Thoms and Matthew David Ellis; and her son-in-law Perry Fleeman.
She is survived by: her children, John Ellis Jr. (Pat) of Diamondhead, Jim Ellis (Jan) of Jonesboro, Martha Sue Fleeman of Laurel, Tapian Murray of Laurel and Judy Thoms (David) of Laurel. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Manila Cemetery (128 S 11th Ave, Laurel, MS 39440).
