It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Brewer of Laurel, Mississippi, who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Brewer; her children, Ronnie, Jimmy Hodge and Tina Murphy; her parents, Luther Herrington and Ruby Herrington; her grandchildren, Jody Hodge, Michael Murphy and Heather Murphy; and her siblings, Luther Herrington, Jr., J. L. Herrington, William'Snookum'Herrington, Foster'Boots'Herrington, Vernon Herrington, Charles Herrington, Anna Laura Hodge and Dorothy Herrington.
She is survived by: her sons, Tony Hodge (Margaret) and James'Nubin'Hodge; and her brother Billy Herrington (Sheila). She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Skyview Methodist Church. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
